Key Verse: ” But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all THESE THINGS shall be added unto you”. Matt. 6:33
Basic economic concept assets that human beings on yearly basis are constantly making CHOICES that are determined by their COSTS, BENEFITS and INCENTIVES offered by different courses of action. Despite this great hunt, they are TRUTHFUL to state that human wants are insatiable, i.e. no contentment. Yet there is a godly pathway that offers great contentment. 1 Tim.6:6-7.
The quest to make it in life is good but often wrongly prioritized. Many have relegated God to the background, others have entered into rituals while some simply struggle with their sweat getting up as early as 4:00am to surf the net for new jobs, hit the road to look for daily bread, be the first to get to the office etc and yet things have not improved. Pastor, what can I do to make a change this year?
God is not prodigal with His blessings. Do you know that He is interested in every detail of our life? See Exo 23:25. And ye shall SERVE the LORD your God ( FIRST) and he shall “BLESS THY BREAD AND WATER…” Don’t drink unblessed water ooh!
KEY NOTES:
STOP Pursuing business at least for once within this period of fasting and prayers if it will not give you the opportunity to be part of the gathering of the brethren especially those who are self employed. Others can take permission from their masters and be in the prayer meetings in the evening to conclude the fast. Matt. 6:33 is a spiritual concept that works and exceeds any economic principle of hard labour.
Prophetic declarations and promises are serviced and maintained on the altar. 1 Sam. 2:30; 2 Tim.1:5; 1 Tim.1:18.
All truth is parallel. You can only reap where you have sown. Gal.6:7. Yes indeed , this is the year of the Dawn of a new era. You can be part of this great reawakening through a deliberate change. Life is full of causes and effects. Seek God first ! Ps. 63:1. Determine and be deliberate about your actions. In all LABOUR, there is PROFIT. But the talk of the lips ( I will start, I go do am) tendeth only to penury. Prov. 14:23.
Amazingly, despite the harsh conditions in which Joseph found himself. Gen. 39: 2 records “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” It takes a man who seeks the Lord ( first) for the Lord to be with him. Also observe that the statement And the Lord was with Joseph precedes every other thing. May the Lord be with you as you seek Him early.
