Redemption Daily Devotional 4 July 2021 – The Dawn of New Era (1)
Topic: The Dawn of New Era (1)
Scriptures: Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 43:16-21
Key Verse: Behold I will do a new thing now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18.
For the purpose of this study, we shall define the DAWN OF A NEW ERA as a period within which an individual or group of people begin a new phase of life. It is often characterized by new developments, life transforming testimonies, remarkable progress, promotions etc on one hand and sad experiences, shameful conditions, rejection, victim of defeat in every aspect of life etc on the other hand. The latter will not be your portion in Jesus name.
From time immemorial, God has always been in the business of doing new things. All ” the so called” new inventions and break through in any field of study have their direct applications and inspirations drawn from the WORD OF GOD (Job 32:8).
God rules and controls times and seasons, years and months. His supremacy at each era is made manifest through the manifestations of His sons and daughters as they take lead in governance, dominate in businesses, rule in different sectors of life etc. Men like Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Deborah, Gideon, Samson etc are examples we can proudly mention that lived up to the demands of the times in their era.

The Bible is replete with different eras.
For Abraham, it was the transition from his traditional religion of idol worship to God’s Anchor Man that marked the dawn of a New Era:
For Samson, his era brought joy and relief to the nation of Israel that they now had a leader that could guarantee them peace and tranquility though he ended on a tragic note.
For Apostle Paul, a former blood thirsty persecutor that brought tears and untold hardship to many, now in the new era, people witnessed a peace loving leader, a beacon of Hope to the hopeless and an aggressive follower of Christ who was in a great haste to accomplish the task of the great commission and be part of the rapture.
NOTE:
- The dawn of a New Era marks a transition from the old to the New things with delineation that are clearly visible.
- Most of God’s servants, prophets and leaders experienced a measure of New Dawn in their days.
- No one that experiences the Dawn of a new era remains at the same status.
Study the life of Laban and Jacob and narrate at what point
i)Jacob became a servant and Laban the Boss. Whose era was this?
ii) Laban became envious of Jacob. Whose era was this?
iii) Earnestly pray for the manifestation of this dawn in your life THIS YEAR.
