Bible Study: The Seed of Righteous – Part One
TOPIC: THE SEED OF THE RIGHTEOUS (1)
TEXTS: Gen 12:7;13:15-16; EXO 32:13; Ps 37:23-26; Neh 9:7-8; Prov 11:21; Gal 3:15-17.
“For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.” Gen 13:15-16
THE PROMISE: Gen 12:1-7; 13:15-17.
Whenever God makes a promise, He puts in place every necessary factor required for its execution, implementation and accomplishment. Abram (now Abraham) had received a charge from God after the death of his father to move from where he has dwelled for 75 years under closed heavens to where God has designed to strategically reposition him and his posterity (seed) for overflowing blessings.
The obstacles were obvious, these include:
Having to relocate at old age.
What will people say especially now that his father has died?
His barren wife Sarai and the attendant family problems of childlessness etc. All these and other factors could hinder God’s move.
THE PROVISION: Gen 12:1-3; Luke 21:32-33.
Whenever God speaks, He makes adequate provision to accomplish His directives. You are the seed of Abraham. Any promise of excellence, prosperity, plenty, etc ever made to our Father Abraham came to pass. We are his seed through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore we shall reap of the blessings of the seed of Abraham. You are designed and destined to be rich. So shall it be said of you this year in Jesus name.

Today’s Hymn: Standing on the promises of Christ my King
1. Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
2. Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
3. Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
Standing on the promises of God.
4. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
5. Standing on the promises I shall not fall,
List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call.
Resting in my Savior as my All in all,
Standing on the promises of God.
